Why Aurelane

What makes working with us different

We approach every session as a quiet collaboration — you bring the papers, we help you understand them.

Strictly Educational

We explain what documents mean and how to organise them — we never offer financial or legal advice of any kind.

Calm & Unhurried

Sessions move at your pace. There are no scripts, no urgency, and no pressure to make decisions during our time together.

Internationally Aware

Based in Chiang Mai, we work regularly with expats, retirees, and families managing documents from multiple countries.

Practical Templates

Every course includes ready-to-use labelling and filing templates, so the organisation you build during sessions stays in place afterwards.

Family-Centred Approach

Our continuity programme brings family members into the process, so everyone knows where important papers are and what they contain.

Privacy by Default

Your documents stay with you at all times. We read alongside you, we never hold or copy any personal records.

Common Questions

Things people often ask us

What exactly happens in an Information Clarity Session?
We sit together with the documents you bring and go through each one at a steady pace. You ask questions, we explain terminology and structure in plain English. Nothing is photocopied or retained. The session typically runs 90–120 minutes and ends when you feel the material is clear.
Do you provide financial or legal advice?
No, and that is deliberate. Aurelane is an educational and organisational service. We help you understand what your documents say and how to file them — we do not interpret their implications, give recommendations, or suggest any course of action. For those needs, you would want a qualified advisor.
Who is the Records Review & Labelling Course designed for?
It suits anyone who has a pile of papers — pension statements, benefit letters, old correspondence — and no clear system for keeping them. Expats in Thailand often have documents from several countries, which makes the labelling frameworks we teach particularly useful.
How long does the Family Information Continuity Programme take?
The programme is structured around 4–6 sessions spread over 6 to 10 weeks. The spacing is intentional — it gives families time to gather documents, discuss what they've learned, and return with follow-up questions. Exact timing is agreed at the outset.
Where do sessions take place?
We are based in the Nimmanhaemin area of Chiang Mai and usually meet at our office at 12 Nimmanhaemin Soi 9. Home visits can sometimes be arranged for the Family Continuity Programme — ask when you enquire.
Are sessions available in languages other than English?
Sessions are currently conducted in English. We work with documents in English, French, German, and Thai — other languages can sometimes be accommodated with advance notice. Please mention your language needs when you reach out.
What is the refund or cancellation policy?
Sessions cancelled with at least 48 hours notice are rescheduled without charge. For the Continuity Programme, completed sessions are non-refundable but remaining sessions can be rescheduled. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
